A local service partner in Cebu for overseas machine makers

You sold a machine to a factory in Cebu. Now it's down, and the customer wants someone on site today, not a video call or an engineer arriving next week. Here's how a local service partner closes that gap, and what Baquial Engineering Services (BES) can do for you.

The problem: your customer is in Cebu, your engineers are not

Many machine makers, especially in China, sell directly to Philippine factories through export teams, online marketplaces and trade shows. The sale goes well. Then the machine needs installing, or a hydraulic pump fails in the first year, and the options get thin:

  • Video support. It works when the customer has a skilled technician. Many small and mid-sized plants don't.
  • Flying an engineer in. Visa, flights, hotel and a week or more of waiting, often for a fix that takes half a day.
  • A Manila-based agent. Cebu is a flight away from Manila, so the customer still waits, and you still pay for the trip.

Meanwhile the customer's production is stopped. Slow after-sales service is one of the main reasons a buyer picks a different brand next time, often one that already has someone local.

The fix: hands on site, your engineers on video

A local service partner is the technician in Cebu who goes to your customer on your behalf. You keep control of the customer, the parts and the warranty decision. We do the work on the floor and report back to you.

For you, that means faster response, fewer trips from overseas, and a clear record of what actually went wrong, which helps you decide warranty claims fairly.

What BES does for machine makers

  • Installation and commissioning support for new machines, working from your manuals and with your engineers on video.
  • Warranty repairs: diagnosis, fitting the parts you ship, and getting the machine running again.
  • Troubleshooting of mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic and electrical faults, including component-level repair of electronic boards.
  • Out-of-warranty repairs billed to the customer, with your approval.
  • A written report for every visit: machine serial number, the fault found, work done, parts used and photos. You can use it to approve or reject a warranty claim.

Machines we're a good fit for

Our strength is the hydraulics, mechanics and electrical systems that most production machines are built on. That makes us a strong match for:

  • Hydraulic press brakes and shears, and hydraulic presses and punching machines.
  • Injection moulding machines (hydraulic and hybrid): power units, heaters, motors, clamp mechanics and electrical panels.
  • Extrusion and blow moulding lines: gearboxes, motors, heaters, pneumatics and hydraulics.
  • Fibre laser cutters: the gantry, rails, chiller, electrics and gas lines around the laser source.

Where a job needs specialist controller or process settings, your engineers guide those remotely and we handle everything physical. We'll tell you up front if a job is outside what we can do well.

How it works

  • No retainer, no minimum fee. You pay per job.
  • Free first inspection. We visit, find out why the machine stopped, and quote the repair before any work starts.
  • Response within a day anywhere in Cebu province.
  • Same time zone as China (GMT+8), so questions get answered the same working day.
  • Service only. We don't sell machines, so we never compete with you for your customer.

Questions

Common questions from machine makers

Do you sell machines or spare parts?

No. We are a service partner only. We don't sell machines, so we don't compete with you for the customer. We install the parts you ship and report back on every visit.

Is there a retainer or minimum fee?

No. You pay per job. The first inspection visit is free: we find out why the machine stopped, then quote the repair before any work starts.

Who pays for out-of-warranty work?

We agree that with you up front. A common setup is that warranty jobs are paid by the maker at an agreed rate, and out-of-warranty repairs are billed to the customer with your approval.

Which part of the Philippines do you cover?

All of Cebu province, including Cebu City, Mandaue, Lapu-Lapu and the Mactan economic zones, Consolacion, Liloan, Talisay and Toledo. We respond to breakdowns within a day.

Can you work with our engineers remotely?

Yes. Your engineers can stay on video and guide the controller and process settings while we do the hands-on work. China and the Philippines share the same time zone (GMT+8), so there's no waiting overnight for a reply.
